VFW Post 738 holds a monthly breakfast open to the public, from 7am till 9:30am on the 1st Saturday of the month. The Post is located at 2801 Dean Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317.
As a small assembly who at times acts a little off-beat within a larger, more serious organization, we are always looking to Increase and Multiply. If this sounds like something you might be interested in doing, we want to know about you. Fairgrounds VFW Post 738, has been selected as a All State Post, for the year 2018 - 2019 by the Department of Iowa.
VFW Post 738 and its Auxiliary will be distributing Buddy Poppies on Veterans Day weekend in November.
Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!!
